Years ago I made a website called Control Create to show off my design portfolio. I made it on Google domains since at the time it was a low cost option to host a simple site and have a professional email. It did not pan out the way I hoped with design and life went a different direction; Which I am happy for. Regardless, Art still remains a big part of my life.

Fast forward- Google transferred my site and domain to Squarespace(yuck). The email still works well, but now I cannot adjust anything on the website without an expensive upgrade that I simply do not need and do not want. Long story short, I ended up here for a few reasons. One; The personal account host cost is very affordable compared to Squarespace(yuck). Two; I didn’t feel I had the need for anything complicated. I would be just posting some Art and keeping my email, but now I have another idea! I will be starting a blog.

Now as to why I am starting a blog. While I was waiting for my domain to transfer over from (yuck) I started reading some other people’s blogs and found it to be more engaging than traditional social media(I feel old saying that). We could really deep dive into why, but I won’t. I think some of you all could guess? Now, I want to participate in this even if nothing comes of it, it will be a good exercise for my mind.
